So there it is, my new car!!
I got a pretty nice deal on it. The body is a 93 Buick roadmaster, not the most desirable hearse ever but a solid one. Finally got the plates and everything sorted out and I have to take it in to get the break lines done tomorrow, but hopefully I will be driving it to work on Friday.

*sigh*

Been pretty discouraged lately. I have been selling some hats to close friends, but nothing much aside form that. Thankfully I just got some canvases as a belated birthday gift, and I think I am going to binge paint for a couple weeks.

I still don't have a car either, but I figure that's ok because it just means I'm sticking to my guns and getting what I really want, a hearse.

I've been eating ramen noodles and drinking coffee more then I breath, and let me tell you it will make your stomach feel pretty funny after a weak or two. If I wasn't so addicted and cranky I wouldn't even consider the combination.

I'm going to try and post more, but it probably won't be about crocheting for a while. I'm going to dedicate the next few weeks to hearses and painting.

Pixie poncho

Work at last!!!

Today I spent my morning and afternoon shelving bread at the local Peppridge farm outlet store.

I had a cheese burger, some onion rings, two slice of pizza, and three cups of coffee.

I only accomplished three things from yesterdays to-do list, those being numbers 1, 2, and 5.

The highlight of my day was getting three new soaps in the mail that I ordered on Etsy!
I got:

http://www.etsy.com/transaction/37436030
http://www.etsy.com/transaction/37436029

I can't wait to try them out tomorrow.... I will have plenty of time to lounge with them in my bathtub since.... surprise surprise.. I have ANOTHER day off! It figures that I would have three jobs and still only get thirty hours a week.
I can't really complain though since I was about to get three jobs.
The up side is that it leaves plenty of time to crochet.

another morning off....

Today I went out to breakfast. I had a greek salad and coffeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
And I saw TWO real live people, Nikia and Marci. I even talked to them about things.

Yesterday I only spent $27 on yarn. I had to buy it, I really did. Someone commissioned a red cotton scarf for me and I just couldn't let all the other good deals slip away, I really couldn't, it would have been a crime. I did save a lot of money on the yarn I bought.... Besides it was paid for by the scarf commission.
It really was a reasonable purchase.

Todays missions:
1) Paint the edges on a pair of paintings for my friends living room.
2) give her said paintings and a scarf for her little sister.
3) make new business cards.
4) design a flyer about my handmade things.
5) make myself a new hat or headband.
5) try and convince people to read this blog.

If I can accomplish all these things I will have an excessively productive day, so I will probably only do two or three of them.
unless I drink more coffee.
Then I might do all of them.

Some pictures of my obsession

my morning off...

I started today on the right food. By that I mean something other then ramen noodles. What was it I ate instead?

A sandwich. Inside this sandwich was: one egg, three slices of cheese, honey mustard salad dressing, and one sliced banana. The exterior was composed of two slices of "Ancient grain" bread that I get free from the Peppridge farm outlet store that graciously employs me.

after eating this sandwich I felt rather full and spent an hour or so browsing Etsy and lamenting the fact that everyone else sold more work then me. I also decided that my next major purchase was going to be a lint shaver for my frazzled looking sweater collection.

I tried very hard not to think about crocheting.

This is very difficult since I am admittedly a crochet addict. I can't stop myself. (and I don't want to) The problem with this is that I have hats, scarves, granny squares, and ponchos everywhere. I have a whole room filled with yarn and homeless completed projects. (not to mention cloth, old clothing, canvas, paints etc...) I simply can not keep them all. I simply must not make more until I sell what I have. I MUST NOT BUY MORE YARN UNTIL I CAN AFFORD TO. This last "must" is virtually impossible. I will give up almost anything in order to buy more yarn. It is truly a sad state of affairs indeed.

Before walking away from the computer in order to get dressed I vow to take better pictures of my work to post on Etsy, in order to better take advantage of the upcoming holiday season.

and then maybe to crochet.
Just a little bit.
maybe

and maybe
I would go to Joann Fabrics
since today is double discount day
and just
look
at the yarn...
